In May 2012, a team of international researchers spent three weeks conducting research at a laboratory located 5050 m above sea level at the base of Mt. Everest. Okanagan College human kinetics professor Greg duManoir was amongst the group that evaluated the effects of the high altitude and low oxygen on cerebrovascular, cardiovascular, respiratory, and sleep physiology. This environment elicits physiological changes similar to many disease states. Join Greg as he speaks about the trials and tribulations of ascending to and conducting research at the top of the world.
