There is no better expert on this subject. After all Jordan Rapp is two time Ironman Canada champion! We are thrilled to welcome back one of the greatest Ironman competitors ever.

Whether you are training for an Ironman or just want to go the distance on your feet, on your bike, or in the water, you don't want to miss this lively presentation by a champion ultra-distance athlete and trainer.

We will learn about nutritional requirements, training tips, and will hear some greatstories from our local Ultramen Canada/Ultraman UK Women's Champion, Tracey McQuair.

We all want to be stronger to go the distance, and now there is a safe natural way to increase our performance, thanks to plant-based nutrition. Come learn all about this and how it can help increase your physical and mental abilities.

Emma Cutfield is a Registered Holistic Nurtitionist, Educator for Vega, wellness speaker and writer. She advocates clean, nutrient dense foods for longevity, and specializes in cardiovascular health, athletic performance and impossible to resist smoothies! She is an endurance runner and outdoor enthusiast, from Vancouver.

This event is free to the public and is held each year to thank all the people in the Similkameen Valley who provide us with great wine and fabulous fruit and vegetables. The Similkameen Sizzle Pepperfest is the only hot pepper festival in Canada.

The day will start with a Pancake Breakfast that begins at 7:30 AM. with entertainment starting at 8:30 am with the Corner Turtles and then Mat Duffus performs from 11 AM to 1 PM. The Headliners, The Blackbirds will take the stage starting at 2:15PM until 4:455PM. Food vendors will be offering their specialties throughout the day.

The first officially sanctioned end-of-day release bass tournament in BC! $1000 for first place, daily big fish pot and door prizes.

This is a team two day total weight event. Five fish total that have to be at least 12 inches in length. Each boat has to have the proper equipment to keep the fish alive and also for boater safety. All fish are released back into the lake at the end of the day.

Kiddies up to and including age 12 are invited to dress up themselves, their tricycles, bicycles, carriages and all manner of transportation and parade down Main Street to Okanagan Lake Park to the ooos, awwws and ahhhs of the crowds that line the sidewalk. This is a very special parade and we encourage you not to miss it. Bring your cameras!

You will be treated to a full continental breakfast buffet as you witness the contestants dive into the water for the first leg of the 2012 Subaru Ironman Triathlon. Live narration on board: Nick Mallet.

Come along and celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Dog Days of Summer. This year we will have live music from Masonette, dog agility display, Therapy Dogs from St Johns Ambulance along with a host of vendors , pet photography, artists lawn and of course, WINE TASTING. Get ready to strut the runway in our Doggie Fashion show sponsored by Watermark Beach Resort.

The Penticton Pistoleras will be battling against the K City Rollers of Kelowna in Women's Flat Track Roller Derby action at The Penticton Trade and Convention Center on August 18th.

Hot off their last home bout victory, The Pistoleras are ready to hit the track once again against the Okanagan Roller Derby League's, K City Rollers. The Rollers are a tough, strategic team with some heavy hitters and strong skaters. The Pistoleras however are ready to serve up some carnival carnage delivering some hard hitting, fast action derby, and put on a great show!

Our premier brunch event will include a wonderful buffet style culinary offering accompanied by a glass of Noble Ridge wine of your choice!
