Every year, Naramata Bench Wineries drop their tailgates for the Okanagan wine party of the season. This is our annual let-down- your-hair, pop-some-corks and have-loads-of-fun event. It has become THE wine and food experience to plan a fall Naramata weekend around.
The TAILGATE Party Delivered by FedEx sells out every year and the 2012 party will be bigger and better than ever. All our 21 wineries will be pouring. There will be live music by Shane Philips and an unforgettable half-time show by the people behind the wine labels! The Food? How about A Salmon Showdown, featuring salmon by Codfathers, supporting Ocean Wise (a Vancouver Aquarium conservation program) and prepared by top Okanagan chefs. The Bench Artisan Food Market will round out the fixin's. Our esteemed panel of celebrity judges and Tailgate revellers will vote to crown the Okanagan's best wine-and-salmon pairing. It all takes place in the beautiful lakeside Manitou Park and Beach in the heart of Naramata village. (A complimentary shuttle to and from the party will be provided by Westland Insurance Company.)
If that's not enough, stay for the after-party. Think of it as an exclusive VIP gathering (only 100 tickets for this are being released) with our winemakers, winery owners, and our guest chefs. There will be more food by The Bench Artisan Food Market and an oyster bar by Codfathers, more live music, exclusive wine tastings and your opportunity to rub elbows with winery owners and winemakers of the Naramata Bench.
